Now this is what we call ping-pong for grown-ups. It comes from the Kuwait Open tournament, where Quentin Robinot of France hits a behind-the-back-shot that completely flummoxes Belarus’ Kiryl Barabanov. The YouTube clip above became a viral hit on sports media sites on Wednesday and it’s easy to see why – even Barabanov can’t do anything but give Robinot his props.
The behind-the-back ping-pong shot is super impressive, but not as inspiring as this play from last summer’s Paralympic Games. It’s also not as cute as this freakishly talented cat. It’s also not as futuristic as these ping-pong-playing robots. But still, credit where credit is do. Well played, Quentin Robinot. Well played, indeed.
